We need stress to keep us motivated and determined to get to where we want to be. It encourages enthusiasm and gets us going, but our body could only take so much. When we face continuous stressful situations, we get tired emotionally, mentally, and physically. That’s why we feel exhausted.

What can we do to get away from too much stress?

Manage Our Time

There’s just not enough time in a day to finish all the tasks, and we are anxious to meet our deadline and finish everything on time. Is this possible? Yes, it is! We were made to do something because of our capabilities. We have the mind and the skill to do it, but why do we feel stressed? Sometimes, it’s all about time management.




We need to prepare for all our tasks, and they all consume time. It is up to us to anticipate every detail and provide the time necessary to complete a particular assignment. Give a specific start and finish time, focus, and don’t cheat! There are instances when we think we can accomplish our tasks earlier or on time that we slow down our pace. The result: cramming!

Try New Things

Having a routine can be exhausting. We need to take a break and try something new. “Work hard, play hard.” This statement tells us to enjoy the fruits of our labor, and that includes having time to have fun. “Activity scheduling entails creating a plan, say, Sunday night, for the week where you plot out times to be with people, take exercise classes, work on projects, etc. Often, people wait until a mood or motivation moves them. Rather than waiting for those tenuous experiences, I urge people to be proactive and follow their values. Don’t wait to feel better, but start to live better now.” Jennifer L. Get a new hobby or try a different sport. It will not only divert your attention, but it will also enhance your intellect and promote your health. It brings the feeling of refreshment and invigoration that we need to keep going. Trying something new can be emotionally and physically healthy in a way that it gives us time to pause and spend quality time with ourselves.

Go Somewhere Nice

We all have somewhere we want to go to, like a dream vacation. Take some time off on what’s causing your exhaustion. Go to the place you always wanted to see. You can go with your favorite group of people, someone who makes you happy, or you can go by yourself. It doesn’t matter as long as you get the feeling of freedom. “Research shows the biggest boost in happiness comes from planning the vacation.” Shannon Torberg, PsyD, LP said.

Sometimes, we need to be speechless and appreciate what’s happening beyond our walls to assess ourselves.

We all need to work hard to make a living, but we don’t need to exhaust ourselves too much because that wouldn’t be living at all. Learn to de-stress and live a happier and healthier life.
